Using reprinted New York Times articles as a ground, these works begin with images and language that have already circulated through the world.

Each article is reprinted onto archival paper and then painted into, allowing fragments of the original text to remain visible. The paintings do not replace the source material, but work in tension with it—obscuring, reframing, and at times amplifying what is already there.

The subjects move across different registers—public events, moments of conflict, environmental forces, and more interior or atmospheric spaces. These are not treated as separate categories, but as interconnected conditions through which experience is filtered and understood.

Across the series, there is an ongoing interest in how images carry meaning—how they inform, distort, and persist over time. Language and image remain active within the surface, continuously shaping how the work is read.
